Spine Care
The powerful combination of spinal manipulation and specific exercise can reduce pain and improve function in many patients who would not benefit from one or the other alone.
Targeted Care for Spine Pain
Our physical therapy clinic specializes in treating spine-related pain with a personalized, evidence-based approach. We focus on identifying the root cause of neck, mid-back, and low back pain, rather than just addressing symptoms. Through a combination of hands-on therapy, targeted exercise, posture and movement retraining, and patient education, we help patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and build long-term spinal health. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic back pain, or looking to prevent future issues, our goal is to help you move confidently and return to the activities you enjoy.
At Back in Motion we are well known for our ability to reduce symptoms in even the most serious back pain patients. Our success in spine care comes from combining all of the tools shown to be effective in treating spine pain and using them on the right patients at the right time.
The expertise in spine care lies in the treatment selection. Manual therapy, including spinal thrust manipulation, along with specific exercise can reduce pain and improve function in many patients who would not benefit from one or the other alone.
What to Expect with Spinal Thrust Manipulation
Spinal thrust manipulation can sound scary if you don’t know what it is. Trust us, there’s nothing to be afraid of. During the treatment, your physical therapist will position you on your back or side and, using their hands, apply a quick, controlled movement to a specific joint in your spine. You may hear or feel a small “pop” as the joint releases. This is completely normal! The sound is just the gas escaping from the joint space. This quick movement helps to restore mobility to joints that are feeling “stuck” or stiff by reducing the pressure. Many patients report feeling immediate relief and improvement in their range of motion or pain levels.
